In the match that opened the 5th round of Serie A1 of the Brazilian Women’s Football Championship, Palmeiras defeated Flamengo 5-2, on Monday night (15) at the Luso-Brazilian stadium, in Rio de Janeiro, to take over and isolated leadership of the competition.

With this triumph, the second consecutive in the female Brasileirão, the Palestrines reached 11 points in five matches. Gávea girls remain seven points after the setback, in the 7th place of the classification.
The highlight of the match was striker Laís Estevam, who scored two goals for Palmeiras. The other goals of the São Paulo team came out of the feet of Sell, Ingryd and Amanda Gutierres. Flamengo discounted thanks to Cristiane and Nubia.

The other match of the Brazilian female played on Tuesday, ended with a 1-1 draw between Fluminense and Corinthians at Estádio de Moça Bonita. With the result the two teams had eight points, with the Brabas of Timão occupying the 4th place and the Laranjeiras team at 5th.
