Palmeiras drew 1-1 with São Bernardo, at Estádio Municipal Primeiro de Maio, in São Bernardo do Campo (SP), for the second round of the first phase of the Paulista Championship. Striker Silvinho opened the scoring for Pantera and Wesley, in a penalty kick, equaled the score in the final stage.

Palmeiras, full of reserves in the first half, started pressuring the hosts, and had an easier time getting to the goal. The best chance came in the 19th minute, after Wesley was given a penalty. Rafael Navarro charged for Verdão, but goalkeeper Alex Alves made a great save.
After the goal missed by the visitors, São Bernardo started to build good plays on the right, until they hit the net, at 35 minutes: Mateus Davó passed the mark and rolled for Silvinho to open the scoring in São Bernardo do Campo.
In the final stage, coach Abel Ferreira fielded midfielder Patrick de Paula (in place of Gabriel Menino) and removed defender Renan for Deyverson’s entry. In the 15th minute, Patrick almost equalized for Verdão when he sent a bomb from outside that almost didn’t enter. Then, another penalty for Verdão, this time with VAR intervention. After consulting Navarro’s video bid, the field referee awarded the penalty. Wesley equalized by charging with category on the right side.
On Saturday morning (29), Botafogo-SP surprised Santos at Vila Belmiro, winning by 1 to 0. Striker Matheus Carvalho secured the victory, in the 16th minute of the second half, taking advantage of the failure in the defense of Peixe after the side charge.
