Palmeiras’ victory began to be built in the 16th minute of the first half, when Bia Zaneratto scored with a header using a cross in the area. The Empress returned to be the protagonist in the 37th minute of the final stage, when she was knocked down in the opponent’s area. Byanca Brasil scored by taking advantage of a rebound from a penalty kick, hit by herself, after a partial defense by Nicole.
Atlético-MG still scored with Bruna Cotrim, in the 44th minute after confusion in the area, but the final victory went to Palmeiras.
In the next round, Palmeiras will face Grêmio, on the 12th. Two days later, Atlético-MG will face Corinthians.
