Palmeiras lost the opportunity to assume the vice-leadership of the Brazilian Women’s Football Series A1 by drawing 1-1 with Santos, on Monday night (27) at Vila Belmiro, in the match that ended the fifth round of the competition. With this result, Palestrinas reached 11 points, in fourth position. The Sereias da Vila reached eight points, in seventh place.

The home team had the opportunity to open the scoring early, when Thaisinha played for the experienced Cristiane, who tapped to overcome goalkeeper Katherine Tapia. But the bid was annulled by the arbitration because of an irregular position in the bid.
In the 11th minute, the Santos duo worked again, but this time with Cristiane starting off in a sensational way and giving a pass to Thaisinha, who slipped into the bottom of the goal. However, Palmeiras managed to equalize even before the break. At 32 minutes Amanda Gutierres played in depth for Bia Zaneratto, who showed a lot of strength to overcome the marking and crossed the ball to beat the goalkeeper Camila Rodrigues.
The teams return to the field for the competition next Saturday (1), with the Sereias da Vila visiting Grêmio and Palestrinas receiving Ceará.
