The first classified for the decision came out in the clash between Ferroviária and Bahia, held at Fonte Luminosa, in Araraquara (SP). Playing at home, the Grenás Warriors triumphed 2-0 and now have the opportunity to seek their second title in the competition, after winning the 2014 title.
The Araraquara team started to build their victory just 8 minutes into the first half. After a rehearsed free kick, the ball fell inside the area to full-back Rafa Soares, who only had the job of covering it.
In the 38th minute, defender Camila made a long throw to Júlia Beatriz, who ran quickly to get free in front of goalkeeper Yanne and, with a subtle touch, hit the cover to score a great goal.
Then, at Moisés Lucarelli stadium, in Campinas (SP), Palmeiras defeated São Paulo 4-0 to reach the final of the competition. Verdão’s triumph was achieved with goals from Ingryd, Brena, Andressinha and Pati Maldaner. The Palestrinas are trying to lift the competition trophy for the first time.
