Very low game in every way. Emotions appeared very scarcely, the game was very stuck in the middle of the field, the individual players did not have a good night, and the coaches did not find the way around with the substitutions either.
The first half went from more to less. Aurora began by taking advantage of the rival’s inattention, while Palmaflor responded after minute 10′. Aurora approached, but did not make the goalkeeper Escobar work.
At 15′ Richard Spenhay crashed a violent shot off the crossbar. Palmaflor’s midfielder hit a shot from inside the area that ended up making the sky-blue arc tremble. It was the clearest of the first half.
After the 20th minute, the game fell. Lots of mistakes, plays with no offensive destination, and low individual levels.
In the second half the game continued down. Few projections, almost zero individual generation. Los Pisano, Cañete and Álvarez were inconsequential in Palmaflor; as were the Torrico, Blanco, Serginho and Reinoso in Aurora.
There was a lot of fighting for possession of the ball in the midfield, the changes had no weight in the game either, and the show was low intensity. The goalkeepers hardly even dirty their uniform due to lack of work.
At 91′ the stick denied Aurora the goal. Rodrigo Ramallo took the ball from the middle of the playing field, faced several rivals, made a wall with Serginho, and was unable to score on the shot. The ball capriciously hit the goalkeeper’s right post.
The tie keeps Aurora as the leader of Group B with 5 units. Escolta is The Strongest with 4, Real Santa Cruz is third with 3, Palmaflor was fourth with just one point, and Guabirá has yet to score.
Both teams from Cochabamba will return to the ring next weekend. Palmaflor will have action on July 7 against Real Santa Cruz, while Aurora will visit Always Ready on July 9. Both matches correspond to Date 18 of the Bolivian League.
