Santo Domingo.- With regard to the damage caused during the passage of Hurricane Fiona through the country, the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, advocated the approval of the land use lawthe purposes of knowing the areas where people living in vulnerable areas could relocate.
“That there is a collective commitment to do so because we are not only occupying places of high vulnerability, but we are occupying land that has another vocation other than urban development,” said the official.
He cited as an example that quite fertile lands are being occupied in the Cibao, which affects agricultural development, for which he insisted that the territory must be cared for, despite the fact that the Dominican Republic is located on a small highly populated island, with a density The population is around 200 to 300 inhabitants per square kilometer.

“That forces us to think about the territory and the need for the territorial reorganization law to be approved,” Paliza insisted during an interview on the “No se Diga Más” program, which is broadcast by Top Latina 101.7 FM.
In this sense, Paliza highlighted the land titling program carried out by President Luis Abinader and reported that some 3,700 property titles were recently delivered to the same number of families from Los Guaricanos.

In relation to the conflict that exists in the Villarpando community, where a company intends to develop a photovoltaic project, Paliza assured that there is space “for everyone to win and to leave vindicated and satisfied.”
