The remains of Mrs. Paulina Rodríguez de Jesús (Palín), grandmother of the renowned rapper Lápiz Conciente, were buried this Tuesday afternoon in the Puerta del Cielo cemetery park, in an intimate ceremony with family and friends.
During the funeral, attendees launched balloons into the air in tribute to Rodríguez de Jesús, known in the urban genre as ‘the grandmother of the movement’. Palín died last Sunday at the age of 102, and the causes of his death are still unknown.
In addition to being his grandmother, Palín was a mother figure to Conscious Pencilespecially after the death of his mother, Bienvenida, when he was just 21 years old.
