Ramallah, March 27 (Prensa Latina) The government and several Palestinian factions today criticized the meeting at the level of foreign ministers between Israel and four Arab countries while denouncing the crimes of Tel Aviv.
Without mentioning the meeting, which opened its doors on Sunday and will conclude tomorrow in southern Israel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced that this nation is taking advantage of the Arabs’ fear of Iran to divert attention from its actions on the ground.
Israel intends to show that its foreign policy is focused on the Iranian nuclear program, but its “real focus is the liquidation of the Palestinian cause,” said a statement from that portfolio.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry stated that with the new alliance, that government aims to cover up its crimes on the ground, including the expansion of the colonies and the Judaization of East Jerusalem.
The Negev Summit “reflects the loss of Arab identity for all those who agreed to be part of the normalization project with the enemy,” said Daoud Shehab, leader of Islamic Jihad.
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), a group that controls the Gaza Strip, spoke in a similar vein.
The appointment takes place in the midst of an Israeli escalation against the Palestinian territories, which includes terrorism, assassinations and the displacement of families, he pointed out.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine also questioned the meeting, in which the foreign ministers of Israel, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Bahrain participate, as well as the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
These four Arab countries affirmed on several occasions that their ties with Tel Aviv do not exclude their defense of the Palestinian cause and their legitimate claims such as the return of refugees and the creation of a national State.
