Palestine expresses its support to Venezuela against US threats

The Venezuelan ambassador to Palestine, Maher Taha, received the representative of the Executive Committee of the Organization for the Liberation of Palestine (OLP) and head of the Anti Apartheid department, Ramzi Rabah, who made a formal delivery of a support letter by the Palestinian State before the threats of the United States government against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

During the meeting, Rabah highlighted the consolidation of bilateral relations between Palestine and Venezuela, as well as the historical support that the Bolivarian country has offered to the Palestinian cause, as the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said in its Telegram account.

Likewise, Rabah ratified the importance of continuing to promote the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as capital, within the framework of respect for international law.

The Palestinian representative also condemned the interference policy of the United States Government in the internal affairs of Venezuela, describing it as a threat to the self -determination of peoples. In that sense, he expressed his rejection of any action that violates national sovereignty.

For his part, Venezuela’s ambassador to Palestine, Maher Taha, presented the current situation of Venezuela and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to the Palestinian cause. “The links between both nations are sustained on principles of cooperation, mutual respect and defense of fundamental rights.”

The meeting concluded with the recognition of the shared will of both peoples to strengthen their diplomatic relations and jointly face the challenges derived from external pressures. The Venezuelan Embassy in Palestine ratified its willingness to continue promoting political dialogue and international solidarity.

It should be noted that Venezuela and Palestine have 16 years of diplomatic relations; In addition, trade agreements have signed in areas of health, telecommunications and culture. As well as education and economy, managing to strengthen historical and supportive ties between the two nations.
