The mayor of the Palavecino municipality, Derby Guedez in the state of Lara (Barquisimeto) confirmed that Palavecino society is mobilized in favor of the elections for communal justices of the peace.
Guedez emphasized that this initiative deepens the exercise of popular democracy and guided that each citizen in their Communal Circuits will be able to choose their own judges, to resolve conflicts and situations typical of their daily lives and collectively.
He spoke that the information agenda to disseminate the electoral process of the judges of the peace in his town has been carried out in the three parishes, pointing out that on Monday, November 25, he shared at five in the afternoon, in Plaza Bolívar of Los Rastrojos, in the José Gregorio Bastidas parish with its inhabitants; and on Tuesday, the 26th of the same month, he did the same at three in the afternoon in the Plaza La Ceiba (Ezequiel Bujanda) in Cabudare, capital of the Palavecino municipality, following the promotion of said legal instrument in Agua Viva.
The Cabudaro president explained, during his meetings in the three parishes, that the legal initiative came from the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, within the framework of the opening of the judicial year, in which he urged the Powers of the State to advance in the refoundation of the Justice System, with the people, emphasizing, “this is a law that promotes the exercise of participatory and leading democracy,” Guedez said.
He added that it seeks to transfer jurisdiction from the Venezuelan justice system to popular power, based on Article 258 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (CRBV), under conflict resolution methods such as conciliation, mediation and arbitration. between the parties; promoting coexistence, peace and effective access to justice.

For her part, the deputy of the Legislative Council of the state of Lara (Clel), Yelitza Morales indicated that the more than forty Social Movements that exist in the entity are also activated in the assemblies to promote the Communal Justice Law.
Morales, who is also coordinator of the Social Movements in Lara, stated that the members are organizing their participation in the entire process prior to the elections and during, on December 15, in the 332 Lara Communal Circuits.
Both authorities highlighted that the judge of the peace is a natural member of the community, recognized for his career, with moral solvency and resolution capacity, also having full sensitivity to the culture of peace, ability to listen and resolve conflicts within his jurisdiction. defined in the Law that supports it.
Of the 4,994 voting centers that will operate in the country, 332 will be open on the day of the justice of the peace elections in the state of Lara, with a total of 338 polling stations.
They estimated as a reminder that the application centers for aspiring community judges will be open until Thursday, November 28, with reception hours from eight in the morning to 12 noon; and from four in the afternoon until seven at night.
