Police agencies arrested two men accused of murdering two women, according to criminal investigations.
One of the subjects was captured in the Puente Real sector, San Cristóbal (Táchira), according to a report from the regional police assigned to the Elite Motorized Brigade. This man is the alleged murderer of his ex-partner, Laura Acevedo Medina (30).
The femicide occurred last Thursday, January 29, inside Laura’s residence, located on 9th Street, San Juan de Colón (Táchira). She was a computer engineer and worked at the hospital in the aforementioned city of Tachira. Apparently, the man never accepted the breakup of his relationship with Laura.
In another procedure, the alleged murderer of Wilianys López, who was an official of the Bolivarian National Police, was captured in Portuguesa, according to sources.
The man intended to flee to Colombia, plans that were frustrated by the police officers who detained him.
The body corresponding to Wiliannys López was found last week in El Corozo, a rural sector of the San Felipe municipality (Yaracuy), according to reports. Forensic studies revealed that the woman died from mechanical asphyxiation. The body was found by farmers who were carrying out weeding in the aforementioned sector. Then they told the police authorities that the body was without underwear and the blouse was pulled up to the level of the breasts, the informant explained.
The last time the former official had contact with her relatives was last Thursday, January 22. He told a family member that he would move to the Ciudadela Hugo Chávez urbanization where he lived.
In another event, the Cicpc reported on the capture of Frederick Wladimir Peñaloza Quintero (18) and Engelbert Alexander Rodríguez Rodríguez (50), accused of murdering Carlos Adrián Milano Sandoval (15), which occurred on January 24 in the municipality of Carlos Arvelo (Güigüe), Carabobo.
The scientific police report, made public on their networks, says that the motive for the incident was revenge, because Frederick and Engelbert had personal grudges with the young man, whom they had threatened to kill.
On the day of the incident, the subjects approached the victim and, through deception, took him to Los Mangos Street in the Los Garcías sector, where they subdued him and suffocated him with a sheet until he lost consciousness. Subsequently, they blocked his airways with dirt, causing his death immediately and then fleeing the scene, says the Cicpc.
The criminals were arrested in Güigüe and handed over to the 22nd Prosecutor’s Office of the Carabobo Public Ministry.
