The Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, assured that the United States military, deployed in the Caribbean, are used as “mercenaries” to commit murders around the world.
“I see that the US armed forces are being used as mercenaries to assassinate, their main spokespersons have said so: ‘we are going to deploy around the world to assassinate, to kill.’ That is what is happening in the Caribbean, murdering defenseless people, whether they are drug traffickers or not,” said the minister during the assessment of the upper phase of the Independence Plan 200.
In the same vein, Padrino López stated that within the US Armed Forces there is confusion and disagreement regarding these attacks that are being committed in the waters of the Caribbean and the Pacific.
“I am sure that within the US armed forces, there is great disagreement, there are great contradictions to a reality completely different from the nature with which they were created,” he said.
Special Law for Comprehensive Defense Commands
The minister took the opportunity to remember that the National Assembly (AN) is debating the Special Law for Comprehensive Defense Commandswhich aims to define the integration of institutions in the armed struggle.
«What does that mean? That the State as such, its institutions are integrated into the armed struggle and complement each other,” he indicated.
Likewise, he explained that the implementation of this Law will consist of “there is a line of unarmed struggle that will be in charge of everything that is the economy, production, everything that is supplies, internal order, the protection of the basic services of the population and the armed struggle that is carried out by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb).”
It should be noted that Padrino López stressed that the President of the Republic has internally dictated the necessary guidelines for the defense of the nation against the imperial threat in the Caribbean and stressed that the people and the Fanb are prepared to preserve peace.
