The Minister of Defense, Chief General Vladimir Padrino López, stated that the Armed Forces will accompany President Nicolás Maduro in the inauguration scheduled for next January 10.
Through a video shared on social networks this Saturday, December 21, andThe official assured that the National Armed Forces guarantee the decrees of national sovereignty expressed in the presidential elections of July 28.
“The Bolivarian National Armed Force is guarantor of the decrees of popular sovereignty and on January 10 we will accompany our commander in chief Nicolás Maduro, who will be sworn in before the National Assembly and in front of the people, as constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela elected for the period 2025-2031,” he says in part of the video.

In the message broadcast this Saturday, Padrino López added that they are witnesses of this entire day and of the presidential elections of last July 28 and that “they are aware of the great responsibility that it means to take care of the decrees of popular sovereignty.”
The presidential elections held on July 28, in which Nicolás Maduro was proclaimed for a third term, are under questioning by international bodies and national organizations, since until now The National Electoral Council (CNE) has not published the minutes and detailed results table by table. The opposition, for its part, has taken the minutes in its possession to international organizations and parliaments of different countries.
Following the results announced by the CNE, in the early hours of July 29, there was a wave of protests throughout the country that left a balance of more than 2,400 people arrested and about 28 dead.
