Padrino López’s speech on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the Military Aviation School was oriented towards obtaining peace through dialogue, as part of the Chavista narrative in the framework of talks with the opposition in Mexico
Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López applauded the Agreements reached by the Chavista government and the opposition in Mexico during an act that he led this Sunday, November 27, for Military Aviation Day on the 102nd anniversary of the creation of the Military Aviation School.
The head of the National Armed Forces (FAN) emphasized, at the end of the act, the need to engage in a sincere dialogue that, according to the official, Nicolás Maduro has promoted for years.
“President Nicolás Maduro has fostered, throughout all these years, a true dialogue, understanding between the parties, because what is sought is to achieve national peace,” he said.
According to the military, it has been “extremist sectors of the opposition” who have followed a path contrary to dialogue and the peaceful solution of conflicts, violating the human rights of the Venezuelan population and against the maintenance of the FAN, despite the fact that Padrino López himself and the FAN are accused by the UN Independent Mission of committing crimes against humanity.
In this sense, Padrino celebrated the agreement reached in Mexico this Saturday, November 26, by delegations of Chavismo and the opposition concentrated in the Unitary Platform, which consisted of the release of resources withheld abroad to finance social and health projects with surveillance of multilateral organizations.

«It is possible, with the height and level of statists and politicians, to achieve peace if we speak with courage, without cards up our sleeves, within the framework of the Constitution. The Armed Forces applaud the efforts of dialogue to achieve this sublime objective that is the peace of the Republic », he insisted before closing the act.
The leader of the military corps compared the dialogue process in Mexico with the independence movement led by Simón Bolívar in the Treaties of Trujillo signed on November 26, 1820.
«We remember the great embrace of the Liberator Simón Bolívar with Pablo Morillo after long discussions in the Trujillo treaties, to reaffirm the vocation of peace, when the liberating father made the Spanish empire recognize the Republic of Colombia, making the world see that it is possible understanding, dialogue to achieve peace,” he stressed.
Padrino’s speech was delivered after the Military Aviation carried out an exercise with all available equipment, deploying planes, helicopters and anti-aircraft weapons under the orders of Division General Luis Vargas Roca.
Moments before the exercise, a message was also broadcast short speech by Nicolás Madurorecorded from a studio in advance, since the president was not present at the military act.
