Within the framework of the commemoration of the 34th anniversary of February 4, 1992, the Minister for Defense and Sectoral Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López, exalted the resilience and loyalty of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) when commemorating the Day of National Dignity, a date that transformed difficulties into victories.
Through an official statement, the general in chief stressed that “today (the) Bolivarian National Armed Force of the 21st century continues to demonstrate its irreducible resilience and the virtue of strengthening itself in the face of adversity, transforming difficulties into valuable opportunities to sow future victories.”
In this sense, the sector vice president reaffirmed the loyalty of the Fanb towards the acting president Delcy Rodríguez. “34 years after the heroic journey of the daring men and women with the tricolor bracelet, we reaffirm the commitment to continue honing the Bolivarian Project led today by our Commander in Chief, Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez,” he highlighted.
Next, he pointed out that on February 4, 1992, he burst into Venezuelan history to stop the neoliberal policies that subjected the people to exclusion, when the expression “for now”, pronounced by Commander Hugo Chávez, transcended as a preamble to the current Bolivarian project based on social justice.
“The commemoration of this date invites us to a deep reflection on how a setback can become the foundation to achieve a supreme objective,” said the minister.
Finally, Padrino López highlighted the determination of the members of the military institution to defend the territorial integrity and peace of the nation, underlining that military resilience is the guarantee of future victories for the Venezuelan people.

BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA
MESSAGE FROM THE MINISTER OF PEOPLE’S POWER FOR DEFENSE
Day of National Dignity!… This is how it was recorded in the collective memory that early morning of February 4, 1992, when a brave soldier burst into the course of history to catapult himself with the honorable and temperate phrase: “Unfortunately, for now, our objectives have not been achieved.” The forceful expression became a rebellious cry for future struggles against the neoliberal economic policies that subjected the Venezuelan people to poverty, misery and exclusion; an exordium of the national project, which years later took the form of a peaceful, participatory and leading revolution, based on the principles of the 1999 National Constitution, with which Venezuela was established as a democratic and social State of Law and Justice.
It was with this civil-military rebellion, inspired by the most advanced ideas of Bolívar, Simón Rodríguez and Zamora, that it was possible to awaken social consciousness to direct the Republic towards a new destiny. Therefore, the commemoration of this date invites us each year to a critical and deep reflection on how a setback or eventual misfortune can become a foundation, strength and Impulse to achieve a supreme objective. Hence, the United Liberating Army of the independence era, today the Bolivarian National Armed Force of the 21st century, continues to demonstrate its irreducible resilience and the virtue of strengthening itself in the face of adversity, transforming difficulties into valuable opportunities to sow future victories.
34 years after the heroic journey of the daring men and women with the tricolor bracelet, we reaffirm the commitment to continue honing the Bolivarian Project led today by our Commander in Chief, Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez. As in past times, the sons and daughters of Bolívar and Chávez, with honor and dignity intact, ratify the determination to continue defending the sovereignty, integrity and peace of this beautiful Nation.
LONG LIVE EL4F!… DAY OF NATIONAL DIGNITY!
Chávez Lives!… The Homeland continues!
Independence and Socialist Homeland!… We will Live and We will Victory!
The Sun of Venezuela is born in Essequibo!
Independence or Nothing!…Always loyal…Never traitors!
Caracas, February 4, 2026
Vladimir Padrino López
Chief General
