Padrino López: Anti -drug operation slows to Toncol groups that cross the border

During a balance, the Sectorial Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, said they carry out an operation with the Anti -Drug Command against the Toncol groups (armed and drug traffickers of Colombia), which intend to cross the border line outside the defense policies of the Venezuelan government.

“Our commander Hugo Chávez was always very clear in this, and the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has also been very sharp with this and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, under constitutional mandate, cannot allow any group that threatens sovereignty,” he said.

He added that allowing these groups to enter would be a violation of national sovereignty. «They go through such a porous border, but here we wait for them and expel them, we neutralize them. This is a daily effort and is another of the matrices that raise against Venezuela: that we are protectors of armed groups of Colombia, that we give it asylum ».

However, he confirmed that Venezuela has done is a great effort to achieve peace in Colombia, from the direct performance of Commander Chávez and the Venezuelan head of state. “This has been a sustained effort to contribute to peace with Colombia, because we have peace, we have peace.”
