Padrino López affirms that what happens in Venezuela will define “the new world order”

Vladimir Padrino López

Padrino said that “the time has come for definitions, for loyalty to the country,” to “tell the world” that in Venezuela “there is a free people.”

The Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, predicted that what happens in the country will define “the new world order”, in a context of tension marked by the United States air-naval deployment in the Caribbean Sea, which the Maduro administration sees as a “threat.”

«What happens today in Venezuela will define the new world order and we will see if it is a world open to cooperation, to respectful relations with States; a world where the concept of sovereignty, international law or a world driven by chaos and force are respected,” Padrino stressed in a broadcast this Wednesday, the 24th, on Venezolana de Televisión.

Likewise, he stated that Venezuela is fighting not out of “a whim”, but for its freedom, all of this – he said – in an “unprecedented year” and in the midst of the “escalation of aggression” against Venezuela.

«We are playing a transcendental role in humanity (…). With our determination as a free people we are saying which path we want to take: whether the path of vassalage or the path of light,” he expressed.

Padrino said that “the time has come for definitions, for loyalty to the country,” to “tell the world” that in Venezuela “there is a free people.”

“Gratitude is what my heart feels today for all the selflessness, all the bravery, all the courage, all their resilience, all that spiritual strength that emanates from each of their hearts to have a country as they see it today: besieged, attacked, but at peace,” he expressed.

Since last August, the United States has maintained a military presence in the Caribbean, near Venezuelan waters, which the Maduro administration considers a “threat” of invasion and an attempt to promote a regime change, although the president of the United States, Donald Trump, assures that it is to combat drug trafficking.

Trump declared this Monday that Maduro would be “smart” if he chose to leave power and warned him that if he “plays tough” it will be “the last time” he does so.
