The lawyer and candidate for president for free candidacy, Francisco “Paco” Carreira, spoke this Wednesday about the nomination process for candidates for free candidacy positions before the Electoral Tribunal, which concludes this Sunday, July 31.

He revealed that this Wednesday he decided to renounce the electoral criminal jurisdiction in case of being elected president in the general elections of 2024.

“I believe that he who owes nothing fears nothing, and for me that criminal electoral jurisdiction is nothing more than an institution created by the Assembly to protect people accused of crimes and that is immoral,” he said.

He said that this Wednesday he will also receive the certification of the candidacy as a presidential candidate, now in the stage to go to collect signatures.
