The first edition of Expo-Packaging RD 2024, an event in which more than 70 exhibitors and companies They presented the innovations and technologies developed at the packaging and packaging level.
During the event, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Víctor (Ito) Bisonó, explained that the activity provides the opportunity to explore “the most recent trends, as well as innovations in solutions in ecological materials, recycling and cutting-edge technology.”
Monserrat Puig, who was part of the team of organizers, said that the event arose due to the interest of suppliers and exhibitors in publicizing details of new technologies linked to this sector.
The organizers added that Expo-Packaging RD 2024 “aims to consolidate itself as a benchmark in the field of innovation and learning within the packaging industry.”
“During the three days of the exhibition, attendees will have access to the latest in technology, packaging materials, recycling and sustainability, while at the same time they will be able to connect with suppliers, discover new processes to reduce costs and explore the most current trends in the market “they added.
The event will offer a wide range of activities, including specialist talks. Among them, the talk “Packaging Design” stands out, which will take place on Saturday, October 12 at 11:00 am by the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (Intec), as well as the conference “Sustainability in the packaging industry “, which will take place at 3:00 pm that same day, taught by Mapfre BHD.
In addition, on the same day at 5:00 pm, the interactive meeting “Stamp made in the DR” will be presented, organized by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM), which will allow participants to learn more about local solutions in the sector.
The event will culminate on Sunday, October 13, with a closing ceremony and the presentation of the “Packaging Innovation” award, starting at 4:00 pm, in recognition of the most important achievements and advances in the sector.
A space for learning and networking
The event also stands out for its focus on networking, with spaces where professionals can exchange ideas and foster collaboration. The participation of brand managers, logistics and warehouse specialists, representatives of the printing industry, free zones, the cosmetic sector, MSMEs, and members of the tourism and restaurant sectors, as well as students and the general public, are expected to participate.
