Óscar Paciello, was re-elected president of the Council of the Judiciary, after the vote, he announced to the media, that he will continue with the process of institutional strengthening, transparency and commitment to the Republic.
“There are many challenges but we are sure that with the support of all the members we will achieve it,” he said.
Regarding recent questions about the selection process for ministers of the Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE), he reaffirmed that the entire contest was transparent.
“Our regulation system worked perfectly, there are people who question due to interests or ignorance. It was done in a transparent way and the best came,” he said.
Mónica Seifart was elected vice president for this period. The same, she expressed words of gratitude to her fellow members, after being elected, she became the first woman to occupy the board of directors.
The Council’s short-term objective is to cover around 400 vacant Justice positions. And the completion of the entity’s building located on Tacuary Street.
This mandate period will last 12 months (until July 2023).
