The 15th date of the Apertura 2022 tournament continued today at the Ka’arendy stadium with the clash between the local General Caballero and Sportivo Ameliano.
The match began with a possible penalty on Jorge Sanguina that judge José Méndez, after a VAR review, did not sanction despite the outrageous protests of the visiting bench.
The V Azulada would not sit idly by and opened the scoring towards the end of the first stage thanks to an exquisite definition by Pablo Zeballos (40′).
Zeballos had a crucial contribution as he also led the play that ended in a straight red (due to an elbow) that defender Leandro Corulo saw (45’+9′), which left General with 10 and in trouble.
The picture got even worse for the Mallorquín team with the arrival of Ameliano’s second, this time thanks to Diego Fabián Barreto’s boots (74′).
Alex Arce, from a free kick (90’+3), sealed the final 0-3.
General, in numerical and emotional inferiority, could not turn the situation around and made a new defeat that leaves him as the only bottom player in the Championship (11 points).
For his part, Ameliano cut a streak of three sets without being able to win (two consecutive falls) and came out of last place (13), encouraging his numbers in the rigorous table of averages.
