Pablo Zambrano assured that the fight for minimum wage became a national sentiment

Union leader Pablo Zambrano criticized the fact that in Venezuela people are forced to live with a minimum wage equivalent to five or six dollars. He asserted that salary is an important element for everyone because, by not having it, he will not enjoy other benefits such as pensions, benefits, trust or collective agreement

The president of the Federation of Health Workers (Fetrasalud), Pablo Zambrano, assured this Thursday, February 2, that the fight to have a better minimum wage has become a “national feeling” because it affects everyone equally and, in In this sense, he called for an end to “politicking” and have political will in all sectors to improve the worker.

Zambrano stated that there are three guilds that are currently leading the fight for demands: the Teaching, the health and the universities; to which the others join, waiting for the Executive to generate concrete and lasting responses to the salary issue.

He criticized the fact that in Venezuela people are forced to live with a minimum wage equivalent to five or six dollars, when in countries like Haiti the lowest income is around 70 dollars. In the same way, he reproached those who have power and other political sectors for talking about austerity when the opposite is evident in their way of living and showing themselves.

He stated in an interview with Vladimir to the letter that salary is an important element for everyone because, by not having it, they will not enjoy other benefits such as pensions, benefits, trust or collective agreement. Therefore, he warned that there is no salary justice in the country that benefits workers.

Pablo Zambrano considers that the issue of sanctions, as the administration of Nicolás Maduro assures, is not the problem to be solved. One can reproach and ask for their removal, but the country receives money from oil, gasoline, taxes, minerals and others; resources that can be used to benefit workers, he stressed.

Yesterday a hearing was going to be held and it was changed to Monday (…) We hope they will be released in full and no precautionary measures will be placed on them.
