The director of the Cardenales del Éxito group, Jesús Chichilo Urribarri, disassociated the piper group from the free concert that will be held by the Mayor’s Office of the Libertador municipality of Caracas to be held on December 31 at the Miraflores Palace.
«I do not accept any ill-gotten money, because they have offered it to me to go touch them there (…) when I would never touch the Government, ever,” Chichilo explained in a video published on the group’s official account on Instagram this Saturday, December 28.
Cardenales del Éxito, with 62 years of experience, has been established in the United States for some time and has repeatedly denounced that there are groups that call themselves like them, but they are not the originals.
In a publication from the Mayor’s Office of Caracas, chaired by Carmen Teresa Meléndez Rivas, it was reported that several artists such as Neguito Borjas, Felipe Peláez, el Potro Álvarez, la Melodía Perfecta, Los Cadillac’s will be present at the event to be held at the end of the year. , Omar Acedo, Hany Kauam, as well as Cardenales del Éxito.
«Once again I am outraged to see that I have all the rights to the brand, a registered trademark worldwide, where I have won trials in the Supreme Court of Justice with so many players who have emerged, thieves, scammers, bandits (…) The rule of law in Venezuela has been lost and that worries me, to see these bandits, foxes, criminals using our brand,” said the director of Cardenales del Éxito.
He reiterated that “false impostors who call themselves ‘Cardinals’ They are the ones who are deceiving the people and wanting to ruin 62 years of musical career (…) We do not support any political act of the dictator Nicolás Maduro. While the people suffer from so much repression, they celebrate, they are not ashamed.
The group founded in 1963 by the musician Tito Suárez Manzano filed a lawsuit in early 2021 against one of those groups that bears his name, formed in 2015, which appropriated its name, logo and colors, explained Lenner Suárez, president of Cardinals of Success to the newspaper The truth.
He added that the aforementioned group has a prohibition measure, decreed on November 16, 2023, to appear under its name. He commented that he continually dedicates himself to notifying those private companies that hire the other piper group of their lack of legality and showing them the documentation of the lawsuit against them, to later supply them and comply with the commitment established under the name of Cardenales del Éxito.
