More than 100 police officers are surrounded, without food and sleeping on the ground, in the middle of the forest, on a property called Causal de Caranda, located in the north of the department of Santa Cruz, between the municipalities of Portachuelo and Buena Vista.
The police contingent left the capital of Santa Cruz on the night of Sunday, August 25, and this Monday morning executed an order of dispossession on 33 hectares that were invaded, of the 128 hectares that correspond to private property.
The police complied with the court order, but when they returned, They found the access road blocked with branches and trunks. Fearing an ambush, the officers returned to the property, where they had to spend the night on the ground, next to the pigs and chickens on the premises.
Some officers told EL DEBER that They ran out of food after being surrounded by the bullies. They also complained that on Monday they were given a rice soup without meat and a bag of water for lunch.
The Troops fear a night attack by the invaders, They are taking turns to keep watch while they wait for the Departmental Police Command to send reinforcements on Tuesday, August 27, to clear the access road to the Causal de Caranda property.
