Judith Pena | February 15, 2023

From 12:00 pm on Friday, February 17, to 6:00 am on Thursday, February 24, 2023, the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT) will restrict permits for the transfer of oversized cargo nationwide.

The ATTT explained that this measure is given for reasons of road safety, mobility and in accordance with the hours that massive displacements of vehicles are expected to the interior of the country for the celebration of the carnival.

They indicated that only those cargo vehicles that do not exceed the following measurements may transit: 2.50 meters wide, 20 meters long and 4.15 meters long. The rest of the cargo vehicles such as dump trucks, tankers and vans will be able to circulate regularly without further restriction.

The authorities warned that drivers who are caught violating the regulations, their vehicles will be removed from the roads and penalized with infraction No. 25 of the Traffic Regulations.
