The request will have to be approved in plenary session this Thursday.
The aforementioned committee also gave the green light for the Minister of the Interior, Juan José Santiváñez, to attend the aforementioned committee this Friday at 10:00 in the morning.

Interview with the Chairman of the Oversight Committee, Juan Burgos, in which he points out that his request must be voted on in the Plenary Session tomorrow, Thursday.
The president of the Oversight Committee, Juan Burgos, pointed out Peru21 He hopes that the Plenary will approve the request for investigative powers so that what happened in the commission of the previous period, headed by Segundo Montalvo, does not happen again. Since he did not have such prerogatives, he could not summon, willingly or forcefully, the witnesses and those under investigation who refused to appear.
According to Burgos, the investigation will be broad and will include not only the possible use of Dina Boluarte’s presidential vehicle in the escape but also the alleged chats of congressmen Américo Gonza and Margot Palacios, broadcast last Tuesday on WillaxTV, in which both would have learned details of Cerrón’s escape.

The head of Oversight said that the congressmen who were in the Zoom meeting in which Cerrón participated —almost a month ago— will also have to answer about the whereabouts of their leader. This, because they could know him.
Burgos did not rule out taking a statement from President Dina Boluarte.
Santiváñez, as we recall, has repeatedly stated that he knows Cerrón’s whereabouts, but has not yet captured him.
