Oscar Vera is removed from the general management of Petroperú

Petroperú lost US $ 278.2 million to June

After the departure of Alejandro Narváez from the presidency of Petroperunow it was the turn of Oscar Vera, who until today served as general manager of the public company.

Through a statement on the important facts of the Superintendency of the Securities Market (SMV), mention is made of the decision of the company’s board of directors and it is provided that the official “return to his position that he had established in the Complementary Organizational Structure of the Company.”

As it is remembered, Vera entered Petroperú with the help of Alejandro Narváez and was part of the close circle of former president Dina Boluarte. Additionally, he served as Minister of Energy and Mines.

In his replacement, the board of directors appointed José Manuel Rodríguez Haya as general manager in charge starting tomorrow, October 25.

PETROPERU IS UNVIABLE

Recently, in an interview on Canal N, the president of the Council of Ministers, Ernesto Álvarez, referred to the Petroperú situation and considered that this is an “unviable company.”

During his statements, he stated that “we are all paying Petroperú and the company’s high salaries,” although he highlighted that the issue has not yet been discussed in the Council of Ministers.

“If at this moment they told us we were going to remove the entire Petroperú staff, I would not raise any objection,” he stressed.
