Ortiz Tejeda: We are no longer the same

An apology to the friends who asked me to leave Senator Noroña alone, but the truth is that recent events make me see the need to limit my offer to address their reasons. I consider forgotten everything that happened before the circus show in the legislative chamber and I propose that in the future I will not have to refer to him except when the senator’s behavior makes it impossible for me not to feel citizenly provoked. The above, of course, includes his political exercise and even his private life when he makes it public and, of course, his frequent performances in the sketches to which he is addicted and which, by “sinning with scandal”, damage the political trench of which he does not even acknowledge being an officially member. I cannot, however, ignore his latest (I wish it were truly the last) absurdity: trying to delay, extend his position as president of the Senate of the Republic to get on one or more planes to reach Palestine and express his solidarity with the Gazans who fight and die for their territory. This seems to me not only an excess, but a true theft.
