The Nicaraguan justice fabricated three crimes against the Nicaraguan sociologist and political analyst Oscar Rene Vargasone of the most recent political prisoners of the regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, currently held captive in “El Nuevo Chipote” in Managua.
The Nicaraguan Center for Human Rights (Cenidh) reported through its Twitter account about the accusation against the also economist.

The crimes that the Prosecutor’s Office is imputing to Vargas are conspiracy to undermine national integrity, provocation to commit rebellion and propagation of false news.

The initial hearing was scheduled for December 9, at nine in the morning. According to the judicial notification document, the trial will be held in “the room assigned for such purposes by the Office of Hearings (OGA).”
Faced with this process, branded as anomalous, the Nicaraguan Center for Human Rights demanded the immediate release of Óscar René Vargas, in addition to demanding the end of the repression against Nicaraguans.

Vargas, 77, was arrested on November 22, “with luxury of violence and aggressiveness,” according to Cenidh, while he was at his sister’s house at the time of her “kidnapping.”
The arrest against the critic of the Ortega-Murillo dictatorship occurred after his return from Costa Rica, a country where he was granted asylum, due to the constant threats against him.
The opponent only gave interviews by telephone and without exposing himself to the cameras as a security measure to avoid being found by the Ortega-Murillo regime.
The opponent joins the list of political prisoners in Nicaragua, which, according to data from human rights organizations, is reaching more than 230 hostages of conscience, accused of common crimes or “treason against the homeland.”
