Ortega Regime Disobeys UN Resolutions, but Asks the Organization to Intercede for the "Unblocking" of Cuba

Daniel Ortega’s regime made official the declaration that “rejects, condemns and demands the cessation of the economic bloc” to Cuba, approved on Thursday, October 27, by the Ortega steamroller in the National Assembly. The letter demands that the United Nations Organization (UN) demand the suspension of sanctions on the administration of Miguel Díaz-Canel.

“The criminal, arrogant and violating attitude of the most basic rights of the peoples and governments of the world, which the United States of America has maintained and maintains to this day and, particularly against the brotherly people and government of Cuba, by maintaining for more than 70 years, this inhuman economic, commercial and financial blockade”, refers to the writing published this October 28, in the official gazette The Gazette.

The Ortega dictatorship points out that “during the first 14 months of the Joe Biden government, the damage caused by the bloc amounted to 6,264 million dollars, also a historical record.” Likewise, he reiterates his “absolute, unrestricted and unbreakable friendship and solidarity with the people and government of the sister republic of Cuba, expressing our strongest backing, support and recognition of its president Miguel Díaz-Canel.”

The declaration exhorts “the highest authorities of the United Nations Organization, as well as the peoples and governments of the world to adopt a more belligerent and firm position in demanding respect for and compliance with the resolutions of this same organization; by means of which, the nations represented in it almost in their entirety have repeatedly voted against this blockade, as well as its immediate suspension.

In his recent speech offered by Ortega, he blamed the United States for the migratory crisis of Venezuelans and Cubans, for the sanctions imposed by that government on these regimes, a new attack that occurs days after the Treasury Department sanctioned the industry Nicaraguan gold, the main export product.

According to the president, the North American country is the one that has applied “the most sanctions” in the world, and therefore, has caused the “greatest damage and crisis.” “Then they are there complaining why immigrants continue to impose sanctions and more immigrants will go to the United States,” Ortega said this Thursday during the 43rd anniversary ceremony of the Ministry of the Interior (Migob).

Ortega continued with his attack on the government of Joe Biden, and defended that neither Venezuela nor Cuba are to blame for the departure of their citizens, but the United States with the application of “its terrorist policies.”
