The Ortega-Murillo dictatorship continues its “diplomatic storm” removing its pieces in its ministries and consulates, according to the presidential agreements published in La Gaceta Diario Oficial this Friday. April 22, 2022. Among the movements, the resignation of the vice minister of the Ministry of Youth in Nicaragua (Minjuve) stands out.
In the presidential agreement No.66-2022, it is highlighted that Marley Judith Silva decided to leave her position as Vice Minister that she had held since March 24, 2020. “The resignation of companion Marley Judith Silva Dawson, from the position of Vice Minister of the Ministry of Youth, consequently; leave her appointment without effect », reads the article.

Silva Dawson has a degree in tourism business management and graduated in 2007 from the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN León). Before taking up her position as deputy minister, she was the third municipal coordinator of the Sandinista Youth in León.
His position will now be held by Óscar Pérez, who has held the position of Coordinator of the Leonel Rugama Cultural Movement and host of an entertainment magazine for the ruling party Canal 8 and well-known friend of the sanctioned children of the presidential couple Juan Carlos Ortega and Camila Ortega.
Pérez has been climbing for his loyalty to the regime. He does not have any experience in similar positions.
The Ministry of Youth received for this year a budget of 131 million 791 thousand córdobas. Of that total, more than 12 million córdobas correspond to salaries of the permanent staff of the JS, according to the General Budget of the Republic.
For its part, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (MHCP) of Nicaragua increased the budget for 2022 to the Minjuve by 4%, granting it 5 million 134 thousand córdobas more than in 2021 when it assigned a total of 126 million 657 thousand córdobas.

The Minjuve will spend part of the income on programs of: Central activities with a total of 26 million 859 thousand 721 cordobas, Promotion of participation with 49 million 587 thousand 181 cordobas; Education and training for young people with 50 million 843 thousand 466 córdobas; and Promotion of innovation and youth creativity with 4 million 500 thousand 632 córdobas, according to the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.
The presidential agreements also include the removal from their positions of María Castrillo Salvador, who held the position of Consul General of Norway, the Consul of Nicaragua in Miami Luis Alberto Martínez Noguera, was also dismissed and in his place will be Marvin René Ortega Rodríguez who takes his place.
