Ortega dictatorship orders closure of Clinica Verde operations

The Daniel Ortega administration continues to close Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs); this time “Clinic Green”located in the department of Boaco, closed operations by order of the “regulatory entities of Nicaragua”.

Through a statement, the health agency informed the population of the closure of its offices, with which the residents of Boaco are more unprotected in terms of accessible and quality medical care.

“We communicated our closure of care due to provisions of the Nicaraguan regulatory entities,” said the team at Clínica Verde, which had been operating in Nicaragua for ten years.

The organization thanked the Nicaraguan community for the trust and support provided, highlighting that they also focused on education, promotion of the environment and the fight for the dignity of the most vulnerable communities.

The Emeritus Board of the organization was made up of eleven people, including the candidate for the presidency and political prisoner of the Ortega regime, Cristiana Chamorro.

The Ortega dictatorship has canceled around 140 civil society organizations, including health associations, universities, religious, human rights defenders, and the media.
