Ortega appoints ambassadors to the EU and Kyrgyzstan

In the midst of its diplomatic chess, the Daniel Ortega regime appointed its representatives before the European Union (EU) and Kyrgyzstan. Alba Azucena Torres Mejía was appointed concurrent ambassador to the Government of Kyrgyzstan, she is also the head of the Nicaraguan delegation in Russia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Armenia and Belarus. Torres was born in 1958 in Tecolostote, Boaco.

The Ortega ambassador is a member of the Nicaraguan Association of Women Writers (ANIDE), the Union of Russian Writers, and the Academy of Literature of the Russian Federation. She is also a professor of Latin American Literature in high schools, according to a journalistic office of the newspaper La Prensa.

According to him presidential agreement 91-2022published in La Gaceta No. 102 on Monday, June 6, Torres’s appointment was made by the dictator Daniel Ortega on June 1 of this year, but it took effect as of its publication in the Official Gazette of Nicaragua.

The other appointment is about a change in the Nicaraguan diplomatic delegation to the EU, the new ambassador appointed by the dictatorship is Ziola Yanira Müller Goff.

Ortega appointed Muller on May 18 in the position of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Nicaragua to the Republic of Belgium, based in Brussels to Müller Goff. The presidential agreement 92-2022 It does not establish whether she will cease to be the ambassador to Belgium or will remain as a concurrent. Just four days ago, the diplomat presented her credentials as envoy of the Nicaraguan dictatorship.

Müller was the Nicaraguan ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, based in the city of Addis Ababa, in October 2020. Before that, in September 2019, she was appointed to the position of Minister Counselor with consular functions at the Embassy of Nicaragua in the Kingdom of Belgium.

The new ambassador to the European Union has a degree in diplomacy and international relations from the American University (UAM) and a master’s degree in International Cooperation and Public Policy Management from the Ortega y Gasset University Institute, in Madrid, Spain. She worked as an external cooperation adviser in the Mayor’s Office of Managua, she was a specialist in international politics in the American Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, according to her profile in LinkedIn.
