Orphans by the pandemic could receive grace pensions

One more step was taken by the bill, in the first constitutional process, on granting grace pensions by the President of the Republic, to specifically incorporate the children of people who died from Covid-19. The advance was possible thanks to the substitute indication presented by the Executive, with which any doubts of constitutionality were cleared up and – additionally – left behind the proposal that the Minister of Social Development and Family made present in the past, Karla Rubilar, in order to generate a contribution, through a budget gloss, equivalent to the contribution given to host families, which was considered “insufficient” by the senators.
