The application of the 30% discount on the price of 170 medications continues to be a matter of concern for pharmacy owners.

The president of the Union of Pharmacy Owners (Unprofa), Orlando Pérez, explained that they are in the process of waiting for pharmacy distributors to make this recognition of the discount or bonus.

He clarified that as long as this does not happen, the 170 medicines will be kept in quarantine until an agreement is reached.

“As long as they don’t recognize the 30% or the distributors don’t start selling medicines with 30% to pharmacies, we can hardly comply with the decree because we don’t have products with 30% to supply people,” he explained.

He added that they are currently offering products that are below 60%, according to Acodeco’s reference list.
