Orlando Gutiérrez: “AMLO is oxygenating the Cuban tyranny, the most dangerous in the hemisphere”

CPAC, Orlando Gutiérrez, Cuba, México

MADRID, Spain.- Dr. Orlando Gutiérrez Boronat, coordinator of the Assembly of the Cuban Resistance (ARC), participates in the Conservative Action Political Conference (CPAC), which takes place on November 18 and 19, in Mexico.

In the context of the meeting, Boronat denounced the existing tyranny in Cuba and raised the need to seek on Mexican soil a great coalition of international solidarity to end that tyranny.

In this sense, during the next few days the Assembly of the Cuban Resistance will meet with democratic groups to try to reach an international agreement that cuts off financing and support for the Castro dictatorship; what would be “the first step to strengthen democracy in the region.”

After arriving in the Mexican capital, interviewed by Radio Republic ReportsOrlando Gutiérrez Boronat criticized the position of the Mexican ruler Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) regarding human rights violations on the Island.

López Obrador “is oxygenating the most dangerous tyranny in the hemisphere, the platform for the subversion of democracy throughout the region. Unfortunately, he is helping a criminal regime that has committed great outrages against the people of Cuba. It is one thing not to intervene in the internal affairs of another country; Another thing is to support a regime that violates human rights, a genocidal regime”, declared the coordinator of the ARC.

Likewise, he expressed solidarity with the thousands of Mexicans who are marching and fighting for democracy in that country in the face of attempts to destroy the National Electoral Institute. And he thanked representatives Rodrigo Ávila and Ricardo Godoy from El Salvador, present at the conference, for supporting the ARC’s call to find a joint solution to human rights violations in Cuba.

The CPAC, a major annual gathering of the right wing of the Republican Party, emerged in the United States in 1974. Since then, meetings have been held in countries such as Israel, Hungary, Japan, Austria, Brazil and Mexico.

More than 70 exhibitors from 20 countries participate in the meeting in Mexico; among them Ted Cruz, US Senator; Eduardo Bolsonaro, Brazilian congressman and son of Jair Bolsonaro; Alejandro Giammattei, President of Guatemala; Steve Bannon, former adviser to Donald Trump, and Santiago Abascal, president of the Spanish political party VOX.
