Oriente managed to beat a weak Universitario that does not find solidity in the championship and lost the opportunity to get away from the declines in the accumulated. The Santa Cruz continues to sign with a quota of Libertadores.
The East started the game very intensely, insistently seeking the imbalance goalbut with very little efficiency. Franz Gonzáles had a great performance, as did Maxi Caire, who accompanied the cavalcades on the right wing.
Daniel Calero was expelled at minute 20 in Universitario de Sucre. This only benefited the local, which forced Iván Brun to become a figure. Oriente tried with crosses, possession, long balls, mid-distance shots, and could not break the zero in the first half.
In the 74th minute, the judge was called by the VAR to review a possible handball and penalty in favor of the refiner. The center fell from the left area, Correa won with a header and the ball hit a ‘U’ player in the arm.
Maxi Caire took possession of the ball, accommodated it and executed the fateful shot in a great way. The Santa Cruz team went on to win 1-0 in 78 minutes of the game. The ‘Tahuichi’ breathed a little more calm.
The game was consumed with few emotions, and an East that felt superior to the rival. Until the final whistle was heard that sparked the celebration, somewhat measured, but finally celebrating for having achieved the three points at home.
The refiner surpassed Palmaflor in the accumulated (at least temporarily), and is positioned fifth with 49 units, four points behind the last spot in the Copa Libertadores, which is currently held by Nacional Potosí (53).
