Oriente Petrolero achieved an unchallengeable victory at the Gilberto Parada in Montero. He beat Aurora 5-0painted with great performance of John Garcia -who scored two goals- and with Alejandro Torres being one of the pillars for the victory. With these three points Oriente added 26 points and climbed to third position in the Clausura, which is led by Bolívar (34).

To highlight the pressure that the Albiverde team exerted in the first half and the control that they carried out in the second half. In the middle of the field Daniel Rojas, first, and Franz Gonzales, Afterwards, they were key in taking things away and creating. But there is no doubt that the best was John García, fiery, active and above all lethal in the rival area. In the previous match he also scored two goals.

In that first match Oriente was a flood. As soon as the ball moved he cornered his rival and hit him, starting from the 7th minute when the Paraguayan Diego Barreto He got past Leonardo Sejas and fired a perfectly curved shot to make it 1-0. David Akologo was in cahoots but his shot found the goal. That goal gave the home team a boost.

Surrounded by a large number of spectators in Montero, Oriente did not let up, disturbing again with Barreto (9′) who finished almost falling and then scored the 2-0 (13′) through Hugo Dorrego after a perfect assist from Sebastián Álvarez. A reward for a team that started off on fire and with the clear objective of beating its rival.

Aurora could not believe what was happening on the court, erratic in the last line with Cristian Enciso and René Barbosa and being a flan in the middle. Oriente won them all, with Daniel Rojas inspired, blocking the entire front to then enable John Garcia or Dorrego on the wings to continue putting pressure on Aurora who could not find the line to press.

And the prize came to the 46′ through John Garcia who was rewarded with the 3-0 goal, finishing with a hat trick in front of Akologo’s desperate exit. That goal was the cherry on top to close a spectacular first half. Aurora only pressed with shots from Sejas and Montaño, which goalkeeper Torres saved with confidence. Albiverde went into the break with that advantage.

At the start of the second half, Aurora tried to generate risk with the entries of Jair Reinoso (for Amilcar Sánchez) and Mauricio Cabral (for David Robles) and was close to discounting at 57′ after a shot by Jair Torrico that entered Torres and Franz Gonzales stopped on the line. Both celebrated it as a goal since it was a great intervention in defense.

The visiting team’s push continued until the 60th minute when Oswaldo Blanco scored with a header to the right corner, but he was in an offside position. That play, however, was a wake-up call for Oriente, who immediately woke up and began to advance lines led again by John Garcia who continued to insist on the left.

On the pitch, Riquelme was there to help the team get out of the game. And the pressure that Aurora imposed ended up dissolving when he himself Garcia made it 4-0 at 75′ with a kick which left Akologo with no choiceThe celebration of the fans and players was the just reward for a team that was on target, waking up at the right moment to then celebrate.

With Aurora in decline – beyond the entries of Serginho and Antonio Bustamante – Oriente struck again at 96′ with a counterattack that John García started and ended up defining well. Riquelme with a pass from Gílbert Álvarez. The goal was initially disallowed but after a VAR review it was finally confirmed at 5-0, which was a relief for Riquelme himself.

This is how a great match ended for Oriente, who won, pleased and scored big. With 26 points in the Clausura table, Joaquín Monasterio’s men are in the fight and, best of all, they are doing so with authority and with a football that is on the rise after the break for the qualifiers. García’s performance was sensational and he continues to earn merits to be called up to the Verde by Óscar Villegas.
