The non-profit organization Diviiendo Voluntarios para la Comunidad (DVC) through the Food Bank, joined Caritas de Venezuela to bring support to those affected by the floods in the state of Zulia, as a result of the heavy rain.
Through the DVC Instagram account they announced the collection of donations to help people who lived through the floods recorded since last April 22. Occurred mainly in the municipalities of Catatumbo, Sucre, Pulgar and Colón in the southern region of Lake Maracaibo.
Given this, Luis Vicente García, CEO of Venamcham, highlighted the alliance between both organizations. He also pointed out the way to make any type of donation.

Various union organizations are still requesting clothing, medicine, drinking water and non-perishable food. As well as any type of supplies that benefit the affected families.
The governor of Zulia state, Manuel Rosales, declared on Tuesday, April 26, the maximum alert in the municipalities of Catatumbo, Sucre, Francisco Javier Pulgas and Colón. This after the floods recorded by heavy rains.
According to figures indicated by the local authorities, the damage caused by the torrential rainfall in the entity “is incalculable” given that not only crops were lost. Cattle were also swept away by the water currents. More than 1,000 families are affected.
