An orange alert for strong storms applies to Chaco, a large part of Formosa, the extreme northwest of Corrientes and the north of Santiago del Estero, which will last until the early hours of this Sunday, reported the National Weather Service.
In these provinces there will be rains and storms of varying intensity, some locally strong or severe, accompanied by intense gusts, hail, strong electrical activity and abundant rainfall in short periods, the SMN announced.
Meanwhile, accumulated precipitation values between 80 and 90 millimeters are expected.
In Chaco, these climatic conditions prevailed tonight especially in the towns of Chacabuco, Comandante Fernández, Doce de Octubre, Dos de Abril, Fray Justo Santa María de Oro, General Belgrano, Independencia, Libertador General San Martín and Mayor Luis Jorge Fontana, among others.
Also in Chaco, the orange alert is in force for Saturday and Sunday in the extreme northwest of the province, especially in the towns of Bermejo, General Donovan, Libertad, Primero de Mayo and San Fernando.
The focus of the strong storms will move this Sunday to the center, east and south of the province.

In Formosa, the meteorological phenomenon is valid for this Saturday night in the central east and south of the province, it will last until the early hours of tomorrow and will especially affect the city of Formosa, Laishí, Pilagás, Pilcomayo and Pirané.
In Santiago del Estero, the orange alert for strong storms is in force for Saturday night in the north of the province, especially in the towns of Figueroa, west of Alberdi, west of Copo, Moreno and Pellegrini. This Sunday the strong storms will continue, although only in the northeast of the province.
Meanwhile, for tomorrow there is a yellow alert for storms in almost the entire province of Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, much of Corrientes, Misiones, much of Córdoba, east of La Pampa. much of Santiago del Estero and east of Salta, Chaco and Formosa.
