Optimism in sales for Father's Day

Traders expect Father’s Day, which is celebrated on Sunday, to mean a growth of between 25 and 30% compared to a normal week. According to a Fenalco survey, the majority of Colombians, 83%, will celebrate the parents.

(These are the international destinations to celebrate Father’s Day).

As for the resources that will be allocated for the gift, 60% of those consulted said that between 50,000 and 200,000 pesos. 17% will spend up to 50 thousand pesos, 12% between 200 and 300 thousand pesos, and 11% more than 300 thousand.

Based on these data, 41% of them stated that the budget is similar to that of 2021. 33% assured that they will spend more and the other 26% that they will have fewer resources. Three categories will drive gift sales: clothing, footwear and accessories (29%), invitation to lunch at a restaurant (27%) and a special homemade lunch (22%).
