The entity considers extremely unlikely that the event shown in the images occurred in the local Metro, both due to the technical conditions of its trains and the absence of verifiable elements in the video.
The content was published last Friday, October 3, on the social network TikTok by a user without previous publications, suggesting that the account may have been created exclusively to disseminate the material. The images only show a section of the floor and a door of the car, without visible references to stations, signs or any characteristic of the Dominican system.
OPRET explained that the Santo Domingo Metro operates with model trains Metropolis 9000also used in cities such as Barcelona, Panama City, Lima and Guadalajara. These trains are equipped with airtight doors and rubber sealsdesigned to prevent the entry of water, dust or any external element, including animals.
