The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) issued a ruling after the primaries in which it suspended its effects. At the beginning of November 2023, María Corina Machado believed that the Judiciary made a “serious error,” saying then that the measure was a product of “desperation” on the part of the authorities because so many people were not expected to participate.
In his opinion, this result indicates that hope among Venezuelans “is growing” and he insisted that the primaries had a “great citizen organization”, while pointing out that the process gave him legitimacy to continue and bring together other sectors.
