Deputy Margarita Zavala pointed out that “if it is true that Sheinbaum has invented an environmental contingency for tomorrow, Sunday, the day of the #ElINENoSeToca march, it is an act of provocation.”
Former President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa supported the message of Zavala, his wife.
What cheek! They are terrified of tomorrow’s demonstration. It will be a success! I hope it reaches the socket, without fear! And of the contingency, in any case it must be recognized that there is a very bad atmosphere for the Head of Government in Mexico City. Lousy atmosphere! I would say #ElINENoSeToca https://t.co/NC9uQrkAlQ

Alfonso Martínez, mayor of Morelia, questioned: “contingency on Sunday? Fear does not ride a donkey!
Analyst Fernando Belaunzarán assured, without providing evidence, that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador was behind the activation of the environmental contingency. “They can’t even stop us like this,” he said.
PAN member Jorge Triana pointed out that the objective of Phase 1 of the environmental contingency “is to inhibit the participation of people in the march in defense of the INE.”
In the same sense, the PAN federal deputy Carlos Madrazo Limón and the deputy Mariana Gómez del Campo expressed their opinion.
“Coincidentally, the government activated an environmental contingency for tomorrow, Sunday. Now looking forward to seeing you at the MARCH. They are desperate,” noted Gomez, also president of the Christian Democratic Organization of America.

Other social network accounts not related to the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador also joined in replicating messages against the environmental contingency.
This afternoon, the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis reported that due to a high concentration of ozone in the southern zone of Mexico City and high levels of contamination in most of the capital’s mayor’s offices, it was decided to activate Phase 1 of environmental contingency in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico.
Through a statement, the agency detailed that in its report at 3:00 p.m. this Saturday, a maximum ozone concentration of 155 points per billion was recorded at the CCA-UNAM monitoring station of the Coyoacán Mayor’s Office, in the Mexico City.
This was caused by high solar radiation that has prevailed during the day, which together with the weak wind of variable direction within the Valley, generated stagnation of pollutants and significant ozone formation. Hoy No Circula is activated.
