“It is a document that was being worked on, even with all the parliamentary groups, and in the end the PRI and the PAN did not accompany the document. In his pettiness, making calculations to have political dividends and in reality it means turning his back on 40 million Mexicans. Then they complain when we call them traitors to the country, but that’s what they are. When they did not vote for social support, the Electrical Reform and now they bargain for this support, they become traitors to the country,” said the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Serio Gutiérrez Luna.
The president of the PAN, Jorge Romero, said that before doing so it is necessary to know the limits of that union, as he said that launching a tariff war would be a “mistake.”
“Of course, all the Mexican voices will have to unite, but first they will tell us what the limits will have to be. I also believe that if we enter into a war that we consider the you for you, it will be a mistake. We have to “Be aware of our economic reality, of our trade deficit,” declared the PAN member.
Meanwhile, the president of the PRI, Alejandro Moreno, criticized Morena for asking the opposition for “dialogue,” when, he said, he has not done so in the last six years or when approving reforms, such as the disappearance of autonomous bodies, the Judiciary and to the Federation Expenditure Budget.
“Given the current situation facing the bilateral relationship between Mexico and the United States, Morena demands that the opposition dialogue and close ranks with the president of the republic. Morena wants to dialogue when he has not done so for the last six years and in more than 100 days of this government. They did not dialogue when they destroyed the balance of powers and stretched the autonomy of the Judiciary,” said the PRI member.
He mentioned that the federal government’s decisions have been made unilaterally, without debate, without dialogue, without consensus with the opposition or social sectors, which is why he asserted that this has destroyed democracy and the rule of law.
The document supporting President Claudia Sheinbaum was signed by Morena, PVEM, PT and MC, which establishes that dialogue, respect and cooperation are the symbol of the bilateral relationship between Mexico and the United States, so ensures that they support the defense of their compatriots.
They also maintain that as sovereign nations, the United States and Mexico need to jointly address strategic issues, such as security, migratory flow and commercial exchange.
