MADRID, Spain.- Several activists have summoned Cubans in London to a demonstration in opposition to the regime on January 24, the date on which will be judged in the British High Court of Justice for its debt to the United Kingdom of 72 million euros.

The demonstration will take place at 10:00 am at the address: 7 Rolls Building Fetter Lane, London, EC4A 1NL UK.

The call has gone viral on social networks with the hashtags #cubastatefallido #ladeudaesdelpcc #corruptcommunists #SOSCuba #patriavidaylibertad.

Among the conveners are the Cuban presenter Alex Otaola, who shared the poster of the call in Twitter.

The so-called Yanel Raúl Nieves, from the opposition association Cuban Canadians for a Democratic Cuba, has also joined.

“We will be in London representing the people of Cuba for the trial of the dictatorship and the non-payment of the debt. Our people are not guilty, much less a guarantee of support for money they never spent,” Nieves said in a direct message through Twitter.

For its part, the movement based in Madrid, Actions for Democracysummoned: “On January 24 we have an appointment and it is in the vicinity of the court where the #CubanDictatorshipto serve as evidence that not a single penny has been invested in the #cubanpeople”.

While the organization Cubanos Libres in Uruguay assured that would be pronounced from Montevideo, “in support of the demonstration of Cubans who will be in London.”

The activist Magdiel Jorge Castro, who recently took refuge in Uruguay after being expelled from Bolivia for his denunciations of the Cuban government, said: “To the Cubans in Uruguay… This Tuesday the 24th we will see ourselves in front of the Embassy of the regime in Montevideo in the demonstration called by @cubanoslibresuy on the eve of the trial against the dictatorship for non-payment in London. They have filled their pockets by indebting the Republic”.

“The date is getting closer and the dictators are getting more nervous every day. This demonstration is going to be a big blow for them”; “There we will be giving support to worthy Cubans in London, that debt belongs to GAESA and the PCC, let them charge it to them,” are other comments from those who have joined in disseminating the demonstration.
