The task is not simple. There are two options: either 20 state assemblies in which the presence of at least 3,000 people is evidenced in each, or 200 district assemblies in which at least 300 people concur by electoral district. Hence the magic figure of 60,000 that allows these interested organizations to continue with the process of constitution of their party.
To attract Mexican citizenship, its leaders have chosen, mostly, to use words such as Mexico, National, Movement, New, People, Mexican, Together, Together, Democratic and Democracy. Will they be attractive words?
They may make more sense within the phrase where they are inserted. Thus, it is “transformation that strengthens Mexico”, “Equality of Opportunities Movement”, “Strategic Mexico”, “Life”, “Mexico New People”, “Evolution”, “Federalist Force Party”, “Migala Party”, “Party Colosista Republican “,” Muro “(Unique Opposition Renewal Movement),” Democratic Party “,” Empathic Interaction Party “,” Good People’s Party “,” God’s Servers “,” Love for Mexico “,” People “, “Mexican Renaissance”, “Communist Platform of Mexico”, “Shared Party”, “Gran Mexican” (sic), “Mexican Animalist Movement”, “Popular Party” …
Some names have clear official connotations, others seek to highlight as an opposition option to the political project of the so -called Fourth Transformation. The truth is that hardly the 89 organizations will reach their mission. Among all the skein, there are at least six strokes to consider:
1. The PES 3.0. Two groups that supported the Social Encuentro project now seek their own party. On the one hand, “building solidarity and peace”, which has as its representative Armando González Escoto, who was already a federal deputy for the PES in the LXIV Legislature for District 2 of Mexico City. But also “transformation that strengthens Mexico”, headed by José Martín Enciso Pacheco, who presumes photographs with President Sheinbaum and has its main support in Tecámac, State of Mexico.
2. PRD 2.0. “New democratic option” is the commitment to resurrect the PRD. The failed national project, which was scattered in just a dozen entities such as Local Party, could have a second version in the event that its gradros, such as Jesús Zambrano himself, could gather a bit of the support that at the time placed his party in the prelude to the presidency.
3. MORENA 2.0? Media scandals have occurred around “that democracy follows.” At the time it was because he was accused of using names of deceased people to favor López Obrador in the process of revocation of mandate. Now it is because criticism arose due to the fact that the vice -coordinator of Morena in the Chamber of Deputies, Gabriela Jiménez, would like to constitute her own party. She already demarcated and argued that it is a project of her husband, Edgar Francisco Garza Ancira, who is a national advisor of Morena and serves as a representative of this protopartid.
4. The use of pink tide. “We are Mexico” is the reminiscence of the movement known as Rosa Marea that summoned citizens to take to the streets in defense of the INE in times when Lorenzo Córdova appeared as president advisor. The representative of this protopartid is Carlos Alberto Ferrer Silva, who is close to Edmundo Jacobo Molina, the former INE Executive Secretary of 2014 to 2023 and who today promotes this political project.
5. Trump’s party in Mexico? Eduardo Verástegui is a soap opera actor who today criticizes President Sheinbaum who believes that Karla Sofía Gascón would not have to be nominated for the Oscars (the first trans woman to achieve the distinction by the film Emilia Pérez). “National Movement México” is the Verástegui party proposal and could have the approval of the president of the United States, Donald Trump.
6. A new budding PRI? It is difficult to equate a project of this magnitude, the truth is that many former PRIs, who are not to find a place in the new version of the PRI dominated by Alejandro Moreno, aspire to have their own party. In this situation there are cases such as César Augusto Santiago with “Popular Alternative” and the former governor of Oaxaca Ulises Ruiz with “New Peace and Future”.
