The National Ocular Health Program will carry out a series of ophthalmological services during the month of September, for people interested in consulting. Captures of patients with cataracts will be on the waiting list to undergo surgery.
Every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout this month in Asunción and Central, starting at 08:00, extramural ophthalmology care will be held for people of all ages, with priority given to adults aged 50 and over, diabetics and hypertensives, who are the ones who most frequently present eye conditions.
The goal is to detect eye conditions in a timely manner, to apply the corresponding treatment. In addition, attract patients diagnosed with cataracts so that they can enter a waiting list and undergo surgery later.
The attention will be in charge of Dr. Edgar Núñez Bordón, and those interested in accessing the consultation should be attentive to the information on social networks that the institutions will disseminate, for the corresponding schedules.

In all services, people will receive information on how to maintain eye health and prevent visual disorders, through talks given in the waiting room with an IEC strategy (information, education and communication) and a participatory exhibition methodology.
