Operation Transfer leaves 20 detainees, confiscation of weapons and money

20 APPRECIATED, CONFISCATION OF WEAPONS AND MONEY IN TRANSFER OPERATION

The National Police carried out more than 20 simultaneous search procedures together with the Section for Crimes against the Economic Order, in East Panama, West Panama and San Miguelito, apprehending 20 people, including; 14 men and 6 women.

The search procedures were carried out in residences and commercial premises, places where these people operate with the alleged commission specifically of Financial Crimes and Money Laundering.

In the action, firearms, cash, electronic sales points, technological equipment and various documents were seized.

Operation Transfer arose after a year of investigation into a group of people allegedly linked who used stolen or stolen credit or debit cards to carry out transactions in businesses.

People will be placed under the orders of the corresponding authorities for due process.
